Upon confirmation of your booking, Handy.my will dispatch confirmation emails and messages regarding your booking and the designated professional. You can reach out to your professional anytime to inquire or express concerns.

What is the pricing structure for handyman services?

Handyman services offered through the Handy.my contact form follow an hourly pricing structure, with a minimum requirement of two hours for most jobs. The time required for a job may exceed two hours, depending on its magnitude. You have the liberty to discuss any modifications to the job, such as an extension in scope or additional payment, with your Pro. Supplementary materials are charged separately, implying that if you require materials such as drywall for repair, you need to provide or pay for them, or coordinate directly with your Pro. This also applies to services such as TV installation.

To obtain a rough estimate, select the required service by initiating a new booking and adhering to the prompts. You’ll receive an estimated cost based on your job’s specifications before completing your booking.

Who bears the responsibility for tools, supplies, and materials?

The assigned professional will bring along essential tools and basic supplies, such as screws, nails, and adhesives, necessary to complete the job. If the task involves extensive materials like drywall or installed fixtures or requires replacement parts, it is essential to discuss with your Pro if you will be providing them or if they should purchase them on your behalf. In case the Pro procures the materials, the cost will reflect in the final Handy invoice. Before commencing the job, it is advisable to take pictures and communicate any non-standard material requirements with your Pro.

Do I need to be home?

It is entirely your discretion whether you choose to be present during your booking. After making a reservation, you will receive a prompt to provide entry instructions for your professional. If you have a doorman or a hidden key, there’s no need for you to be present. Alternatively, you can opt to stay during the booking if that makes you more comfortable.

In any scenario, kindly ensure that you don’t overlook your booking. We will remind you via email, text message, and push notification. Nonetheless, if your Pro is unable to enter following your entry directions or if you’re not present at the agreed time, the full cost of the booking will be charged to you.
